ELLIS, as if writing a journal entry
Day 6 since I…(pausing, then changing what they were about to say)...since I…left…home.
I passed the 100 mile mark today. My feet are killing me, and I had a rock in my shoe for the last 10 miles…but that’s good progress, I think. No sign of anyone else, which I guess is also a good thing? It means no one’s found me, at least.
I ran out of food yesterday, though. I was only able to pack a little in such a hurry. It’s been easy enough to find water, but I started to get hungry today. I’ve been following a river for a while, too…but so far, no luck catching any fish. I’m not even sure what to do if I did manage to catch one. I tried to eat a few snails, though.
They, uh…they weren’t very good. Maybe I should’ve cooked them, but…I couldn’t get the fire hot enough. The rain made everything so damp. (sighing) I miss regular meals.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll find some village with an inn. Someplace warm, without rats or wolves or whatever, with four walls and a real roof. And…better people. People who won’t know me.
(as if an afterthought) Oh, and a proper bed. That’d be nice.

Voice of Ellis
Maddi is a professional theatrical and voice actor, having performed Off-Broadway, toured Nationally, and voicing in everything from commercials and audio dramas to video games and dubbing. Notable companies they've worked with are Marvel, DC, Focus Entertainment, Nexon, Tostitos, Warner Brothers, and many more. She is classically trained in acting and vocal performance, having received a BFA in Musical Theatre in the States and an MA in Classical Acting in London. Maddi is particularly fond of their cats, plants, and activities that require signing a liability waiver to participate in.
